Mother's Day Remembering My Mom

And on that clear, cold morning,
in the warmth of her bedroom,
the daughter was struck
with the pain of learning that
sometimes there isn't any more.

No more hugs,
No more lucky moments to celebrate together,
No more phone calls just to chat,
No more 'just one minute'

Sometimes, what we care about the most goes away.
Never to return before we can say good-bye,
Say 'I Love You.'
So while we have it ... it is best we love it ...
And care for it and fix it when it's broken
and take good care of it when it's sick.

This has always been a tough time of year for me. I lost my precious Mother who was killed in a car accident on New Years Eve by a drunk driver. I was in my teens, a freshman in college, kind of smart mouth and have spent the remainder of my life wishing I could have just one more minute to hug her and tell her how much I love her.

So my pray is that for any one who reads this post, to make your Mom feel special is some way this Mother's Day. No matter how you "feel" inside, no matter how busy you are, no matter how long it has been since you last spoke to her....do the right thing and honor her in some way this Mother's Day.
